María Méndez is a Spanish interior designer with over 20 years of experience, more than 12 of them spent working across the MENA region. Her work has been shaped by collaborations with boutique architecture and design studios in Barcelona and Dubai, spanning hospitality ventures for internationally renowned operators, private villas and workspaces across Spain, the UAE and South America, alongside a growing portfolio of private residences.

Founded in 2020, MIA Studio is a concept and design consultancy that takes a tailored approach to every project, weighing the social, economic and cultural context of each space we create. Based between Dubai and Barcelona, with strong relationships across the Middle East and Europe, we work with individuals and businesses seeking expert guidance on residences, commercial spaces, restaurants and hotels.
